You know, I think smoking while walking should be banned.
Why? Well, its simply IRRITATING!
The smoke moves everywhere together with the smoker, unlike when the smoker is stationary.
The burning tip can burn a on-coming child if not taken care.
The ash if not put off properly can easily cause fire.
And these smokers usually just dump the butt wherever they want.
If they are stationary, all the above can be effectively minimised.
If a smoke ridden country like Japan can effectively make this a law and her citizens doing so sub-consciously, even with the cigarette prices so low, I dun see why Singapore cannot do it.
And on the contrary to banning moving smoke, Taxis who refuse to turn off their engine when parked should be banned too.
They are wasting fuel, inducing carbon monoxide to the surrounding unnecessarily, irritating noise pollution from its old rattling engine, and causing global warming.
So, who has the same view as me?
